“Happiness Hedge”

I’ve had two mornings where I’ve woken to profound shock and grief at the results of an election. I’ve never bet online before. Today I had a thought. I will use this Kalshi app I keep hearing about and bet against my own self interest. If Andrew’s wins, my faith in my fellow citizens is renewed and I happily will lose $25. If Graham wins, I once again will be quite disappointed in my fellow citizens, but I’ll be $118 dollars richer.
