We have close family rightfully convicted of murder. They are in prison. We know quite well the cost of the actions of those we love. I do not see this as political. I do see it (as it was when it touched our family) as accountability.
Not because one was black, not because one was white. Not because one was a police officer and not because one was a criminal. Because both were human beings and one murdered the other wholly and fully within the letter of the law. Accountability.
