Nightmare. Left garage door open

What a nightmare! I forgot and left my garage door open this morning. While I worked inside, a thin film of moisture settles on every cast iron surface in the workshop.
Table saw, planer, jointer, bandsaw, everything! Looks like I’m wiping wet brown paint off of everything. Ugh!
Removing this rust will take days

  2. It’s fine. It can all be restored and nothing is “broken,” but nothing will really be used until I get all the rust removed. Those cast iron surfaces are heavy, dead flat, and super hard (all good stuff). They also rust almost instantly if any water touches them. I just bought some rust stripper and some polishing compounds. I’ll get everything fixed, but it will take a few days.
